Didn't Get Time to Carve a Pumpkin this Year?
Here is the 5 minute solution! I discovered this fabulous crafty idea on this blog. What an effective little "pumpkin" was born from a mandarin using black cardstock, double sided tape and and stick for the top.
Happy Halloween!!!

Easy Wooden Peg Aeroplanes...
It is my role to run weekly craft at playgroup. We hadn't made planes before so I trawled the net and found this fabulous idea from a website Fun Family Crafts.
The planes are super simple to make.
What you need:
wooden peg, 3x icypole/popsicle sticks, paint, hot glue gun or wood glue
Instructions:
1. Paint wooden peg and sticks. Let dry
2. Hot glue gun the icypole/popsicle sticks (as the bi-wings) to the front of the peg
3. Using old pair of scissors cut a 1/3 off the 3rd stick and glue as a tail wing to the other end of the peg
4. With the left over 1/3 of the stick from step 3, cut a 1cm off and glue this fin to the top of the tail
Tom, 3, loved my prototype so much he had to make one himself. It zoomed around the house many times over and had to be reglued a few times. No Tom, the hot glue gun is a grown-up toy. I think this craft will be a hit at playgroup tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by...

Handmade Hairclips are not just for Little Girls...
My latest fashion go-to are hair clips. They are for ladies as well as girls!!! I have had a stash of hair clips and earring bases waiting for me to attach buttons to. Tonight was hot glue gun night!
What a speedy result. Perfect for craft wannabe with no patience. I definately love my new clips especially the vintage bird. I also needed new vintage mauve earrings I really did.
The badge is from my Studio Calico scrapbook collection. Too good for my pages. Better out of my albums and into my hair (that is if my daughter doesn't get to it first).
Thanks for playing in my craft room...

Cardboard Box Car Wash...
For those people lucky who live in Australia, the children's TV show, Play School, has fabulous ideas and has been a source of wonderment for my children.
My 3yo, Tom, loved an episode from a show we watched together yesterday which featured a car wash. So of course there was no time before we pulled out mop heads, cardboard boxes and sticky tape and made our very own car wash.
Tom played with it all day so that says it all!

Welcome to my First Post...
Hi all,
Hooray for craft! Welcome to my blog. I hope to make new friends.
This is my spot for sharing crafty projects mostly made in the afternoon typically of a weekend.
I am a mum of three (14, 12 and 3) who loves being extra busy especially all things crafty. My favourite people are fellow crafters. I am a doctor on the side. Australia is my homeland and I am lucky to live on an island.
My favourite crafts are sewing, glueing, sticking and painting. I also love stitching which I blog about at thread garden. Recording memories with paper is another hobby of mine as one always needs another hobby. I blog about this at paper garden.
Looking forward to posting lots and making some new friends.
